Another doc. appt
Yesterday Charlie and I both had appointments. Charlie had a well-baby visit which equaled 4 shots and lots of crying. I had a check up and the doc just listened to the baby's heartbeat which was 145bpm. Very uneventful visit for me. Charlie got to see Dr. Gayle for the 3rd time in his life and was trying to lick the doppler. He kept looking at it and saying, "baby". Dr. Gayle asked if he was this hyper all of the time and where does he get it from? I just looked at Matt! The boy was going crazy in that tiny room. Maybe it was the two packages of M&M's we gave him after his shots.
After the doctor visits we drove to What A Burger. A sit down restaurant was not a good idea at the time even though sushi was sounding really yummy. As we ate we drove down dirt roads heading towards our deer hunting place this year. We finally made it and after trekking through vines and brambles (me holding Charlie) we made it to the pop up blind. Matt wandered off to throw out some corn and I was not happy about my shoe selection. I had cuts all over the tops of my feet.
Saturday morning....early....think of me please. I will be "hunting" with Matt. Really that will consist of me drinking loads of hot chocolate, peeing in nature, and trying not to complain about how uncomfortable I am.

Weekend of Cakes!
I've got 3 cakes due Sat. and Sun. I haven't done a cake since August and then WHAM! Luckily not one of them is a big deal to do. I just want them to look really good and I'm a little out of practice so I'm moving a little slower than I normally would. I'll post pictures of them. 2 birthdays and a shower cake! Glad I'm off Monday...to clean the kitchen! :() I'll have icing from the tops of the cabinets to under the baseboards and everywhere in between. My Kitchen Aid will sling some powdered sugar now.
Happy Columbus Day! Should we clarify that he discovered North America and not just America? He landed on an island in the Bahamas, right? My kids think he landed in Texas and there were naked Indians running around.

clothing website
Get ready to drool when you see the seriously cute clothes at this site. Go to http://www.hannaandersson.com It's a Swiss magazine that will make you want to go bankrupt outfitting your children for winter. The only thing is, it's not as cold in Texas as it is in Sweden for winter! LOL It sure is fun to look though. I guess I got this magazine because I also get Wooden Soldier which is another kids' mag that is outrageously priced and fun to look at. These two magazines prove that girls have it much cuter when it comes to clothes. I could not buy Charlie little Swiss clogs....well, I guess I could but then you would send me to Rusk.
Have a good Day! S

flylady.net
Not sure if I've posted about this site or not so I'll just do it! I found this site through my cousin, Janet, who is a stay at home mom. This site helps her with her household organization and we can all use that! You should check it out. It has cleaning schedules, food menus, etc. Not that I should be doing all the cooking and cleaning myself!!! This will give me things to delegate! Charlie is really good at unloading the silverware from the dishwasher. Matt Newton can clean a kitchen, too! Happy Monday!

Halloween Costumes?
Anybody got anything interesting to loan us? We don't have a clue what Charlie could be...besides the Amos Moses idea from sister. He's in 18 months clothes.
If nothing to loan...any good, cheap ideas? I'd like to take him Trick-Or-Treating on the square this year so I don't want to beg for candy with no costume.
*Thanks*

Tomatoes
Last night Matt cooked hamburgers and I told him to get roma and grape tomatoes at the store. That is completely out of character. I cut up the grape tomatoes and doused them in balsamic vinegar and salt and went to town. I'm looking forward to some more tonight. I had no definite cravings with Charlie, so this is really funny.

Who's getting married???
COURTNEY SMITH AND JAKE CAIN!!! A completely darling couple who accentuate the positive in each other. Matt Newton may want to marry Jake himself! Courtney had her new bling at our 10 year reunion last Friday and her smile was brighter than the diamond I think. Makes me remember how cool it was when Matt and I first got engaged. If you've been married a while think back to the beginning....makes me not get so mad at Matt when he's snoring on the couch and I'm folding HIS underwear.
